Collagen and Gelatin are essentially the same thing. Collagen (in its natural form) is made up of long chains of amino acids which form solid structures. Gelatin, is made from broken down collagen, so it has shorter chains of amino acids, however the chains are still long enough to have the gelling effect when added to liquid. Our Collagen products are made up of hydrolysed collagen, which is broken down even further into tiny chains of amino acids that are so small, they are water soluble (so don’t have the gelling effect of gelatin). All have the exact same amino acid profile, it’s just a matter of chain length!

We suggest treating gummies as you would meat, so generally you wouldn't consume them after a few days of them being properly stored in the fridge.

We source our gelatin from GELITA, which certifies that the Beef Skin Gelatine which we supply does not contain heavy metal over the limits acceptable for human consumption or any bacterial contamination as specified by the relevant monographs and FSANZ. The finished product does not contain glyphosate, antibiotics or hormones.

No sorry! We do not recommend putting Gutsy Gummies in your child’s lunch box. Although this sounds like a super fun idea, your gummy will melt if it gets warm, so it’s best to consume your gummies straight from the fridge.

The main difference is consistency. Gummies are firmer and can be picked up in your hand. Jellies are wobblier and not firm enough to hold. The way to achieve more or less firmness is to add less or more liquid.

Gutsy Gummies uses a combination of premium refractance dried fruits and Australian made, plant based, natural flavours. We also use a hint of thaumatin which is a very sweet protein sourced from the katemfe fruit.

One preparation (which is 50g of powder + 350ml of water) is enough to fill up all three of our gummy mold trays with some left over. (It would actually fill up a fourth tray of the same size). The strawberry mold gummies weigh an average of 13.4g. So that means one 60g serve would be approx 4 ½ gummies. The blue wedge gummies weigh an average of 15g. So that means one 60g serve is 4 gummies. The orange mold gummies weigh an average of 21.8g. So that means one 60g serve would be approx 3 gummies.

Strawberry - The beautiful pink/red tones come from beetroot, strawberry and cranberry.
Mango - The happy orange/peachy tones come from mango and a hint of beetroot and turmeric.
Blueberry - The cool blue hue comes from blueberry and a touch of blue spirulina.
